Women's Health & Wellness
Alison is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist. She arrived in the field of food and nutrition after much soul searching and a lackluster first career in technology. In her quest for the perfect professional fit, she discovered a career in her own passion for food, cooking, and the relationship of both to health, wellness, and happiness. She feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to share her passion and knowledge with others, and teaches nutrition in a variety of settings, to a variety of audiences.
Her areas of interest and expertise include family nutrition and meal planning, school wellness, pediatric nutrition, weight management, and pregnancy. Alison loves empowering women to be their best selves and guiding them in feeding their families.
She enjoys one on one counseling, but also loves to do hands-on workshops and seminars to help her clients visualize the changes they hope to make in order to meet their goals. She provides professional development for school nurses, teachers, coaches, and food service directors as well as corporate wellness seminars.
Alison received a Bachelors Degree in International Studies from Colby College and a Masters of Science in Food and Nutrition, from Framingham State College.
Alison is certified as a Specialist in Child and Adolescent Weight Management. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and Massachusetts Dietetic Association.
